Let's Make It New

Assistant Editor

Assistant EditorGabriel Ricard is a writer, editor and stand-up comedian. In his twelve-year career, he has been fortunate enough to see one of his stage plays produced in Philadelphia, Chicago and Richmond, VA, numerous short stories and poems published in a wide range of publications, stand-up performances in Baltimore and San Francisco and even a couple of brief stints in the pro wrestling industry.

His career has encompassed material in short fiction, poetry, film and stage scripts, review work for music, films and books, novels, creative non-fiction and much more. At the moment, he is at work on his second novel and is a contributing critic to The Modest Proposal. He is hoping over the next few months to finally break through into some new mediums, such as animation, filmmaking and even writing for comic books.

Born in Canmore, Alberta, Canada, he lives in Waverly, Virginia and is planning a move to Savannah, Georgia in the fall.

Gabriel handles the music submissions at Unlikely. He also reviews and interviews artists and entreprenuers who interest him for Unlikely 2.0. If you have a suggestion for an interview, you can contact him at gabriel AT unlikelystories DOT org.
