Would like – love to turn my mind off
please point me in the direction of a switch. Any switch will do

like a leaf in the stillness of the wind – complete stillness
yet the leaf still moves
just a little
just enough

and I've read Zen
and all those damn peace of mind books
though in the end
with the final conclusion
I always seem to lose my mind

They – the DOCTORS – the fixer uppers
have drained me with every medication
they can find
yet – they haven't drained this mind
can't they find something that will
drain a little – just a bit – of this mind?

So hear hear

wanting
for you to take a little of this mind.
