two poems by John Bryan

Random Victim of Poem

sat down to write
nothing comes immediately: failure

outside my window: world,
little green conspirators construe the
' man on the moon ' theory,
from mongering streets

detremental jism, orts
genetic code too illegible
for positive identification

toil
elongated & adamant over the
letter 'a' trying to graft
to letters 'n' & 'd'
words none able to ascertain
if victim suffered by
his own h -

The Right to Bear Arms

looking in the Canberra phonebook,
i compiled a register regarding
the varying species
of my family name:

Bryan: 26 listings
Brian: 16 listings
Brien: 8 listings
Brion: 0

as well, out of interest,
all derivatives and strains:

Bryans: 1 listing
Bryant: 79 listings
Briant: 2 listings
Brient: 1 listing
O' Brian: 2 listings
O' Brien: 234 listings
O' Bryan: 3 listings

searching for the cure
to the influenza of surnames

in heraldry, one is usually
entitled to crests
not of your last name

imposters & liars, all,
disease on their backs,
i have compiled

a threatning species list,

Sarcasm Free Email Infected with the Dhampir Virus

this exchange with a girl i was with for nine
months, not long enough to be long term
but long enough to have a baby

You are right though
I am a good saver under normal
Conditions, this year I simply
Haven't had the inclination or drive
I guess the remainder will be different
Once I start on my teeth the last three years
my teeth have deteriorated to such an extent
that some have fallen out, it has completely
changed the way i smile, i now have a
wrinkle on the right side of my face,
once they are fixed this wrinkle
will no longer be in use
but
I'm a little superstitious about starting
Afresh so perhaps in the new year
Gonna get someone to take a photo
Of me ' doing a you ' ie. Fall arse over
Head and lie straight on the ground like a
Cut down tree, maybe pull that dead face as well.
I'll send that pic another day
When i'm horny - rather embarrassed
photo is of guy pole driving a splayed
girl nipples hard face in wince
looped so only the head goes in / out
to imply the dimensions she's
gonna have to take

By it now, like i'm 13 swapping playboys
With friends ( can't get busted by
Mother but still can by flatmate, being relevant sex )
Re: sarcasm free her reply
Hehehehe I thought you were better than
Me in that area, you've made it around Aust.
I just went to Queensland partially because I got
A bonus.
Can't open pic at work. Getting me toey, it's rather obvious
And boyish but I like the angle and was interested
In what you thought this is my ongoing reply
regardless to hers although in response
& also a question
whose answering is urgent yet somehow trivial & footnotish

The photo was a copy cat of you pulling a
Tired shot at ****'s birthday.
Re: re: sarcasm free:
Just whingeing and being a sooky na na
told you this was sarcasm free
