MC Frontalot's songs aren't always strictly comic, but always skewer the assumptions we make about mainstream and indie rap. Hidden behind a fictional empire of varying nature and size, MC Frontalot uses hip beats and clever, unpredictable lyrics to warn us of the dangers of George Bush, rappers who visit you in the hospital, and puce. His origins remain mysterious, but we know him to be better dressed than either James Bond or Austin Powers. Check out "Special Delivery," remixed by Baddd Spellah and Yook, protesting the Iraqi invasion, then learn what it means to be a politically-sensitive rapper with "Indier than Thou." "Gonna Be Your Man" warns you of getting too close to your idols and/or fans. After that, there's "I Heart Fags." We'll wrap up comments here. —JP
