An energetic new band hailing from the inner city of Cape Town. They smack together an eclectic montage of electronic beats, synths and samples, combined with explosive guitars, irrepressible vocals and a thoroughly entertaining live performance. Essentially it is indie rock music with a bit of electronica thrown in. One of the foundations of The Dirty Skirts are super-octane live performances, which they have continued to deliver in and around South Africa for all of 2005, fuelling their reputation as a top live act to follow. Stage magazine dubbed their Independent Armchair Theatre performance as "explosive" and referenced The Cure, Bauhaus and Kraftwerk in the eclectic montage of guitars and beats.
Feeling the Pressure by The Dirty Skirts remained on Unlikely 2.0 for one year, then was removed for reasons of space and copyright.
