Two Poems by Derek Davey

His-story is a whore

Hey Saddam
How's it feel to be the fall guy?
The hands that hoist you
Film your jerky kicks
Are Macbeth bloody as yours

Hey Baghdad
How's it feel to be invaded again?
Criss-crossed by starry-eyed invaders
From Alexander to Bush
The world's whippin-boy

Hey there Adolf
Do you spin in your grave?
Considered the epitome of evil
You only conquered Europe
While today's fascists have tentacles
In minds across the globe

Hey Ché Guevara
I bet you spinning too
Your Alberto Korda image freely used in adverts
By folk who know squat of your ideals
A legend in your own lunchtime

I can't forget you, Robert Mugabe
Once the shining intellect of Africa
Thumbing his nose at Britain and America
I play music with a man whose family you killed
Your thugs ruin the country Nelson freed
Zim exiles wait the world over
To dance gleefully on your grave

Hey Chairman Mao
Welcome to McDonald's
U whopped decisively in battle by
Sticky-fingered Colonel Saunders
Red, red in da Babylon

Woman Sex Blues

Last night I fucked the memory of a blonde
Who simply always loved my cock
Then I dreamed you found yourself a doctor
To cure the empty night of spaces.

Though I have prodded, lapped
And parted thighs of umpteen strangers
Why can't I forget?
Why don't those new lips and laughs
And asses and spilled whisky coffees,
Arbitrary bars and streets and cars
Smiling street sluts
Why don't they drown your image?

When I think I have freed me
You follow relentlessly
The mess I made
Stains.

But then I do forget you...

Born in Zimbabwe, schooled in Cape Town, military service fighting supposed communists in Namibia/Angola, did post-grad in Journalism and Psychology. Derek is a percussionist, writer, photographer, and poet. Sagittarius! Plays traditional African music with marimba band. Father of two boys. Heavily influenced by JRR Tolkien, CG Jung and Harry Crews. Forever changed by narcotics, ceremonies with several shamans and practices like Kundalini yoga. Believes in the imminent collapse of present fascist world super-power, and 'reality' as we know it... only knowledge of the dream and spirit worlds can prepare one for this change...

let say i am a wierdo like you have names me what i recognize.

just to be clear my aim is just to enter in contact with someone implies on kagablog because a link between you me cecilia michele that i don't know.

it is just because i hope from you a more "clear" a not difficult to apprehen information wich the aim isn't "artistic" but health

you seems to be more experienced than me with shamanism and so on.

if i have done mistake it wasn't my intention but i can't return in the past ... let say i had been unlucked
