Two Poems by Randy Thurman

Disappear

The knock heard at the door
Age must answer it
Nervous confusion welcomes
The lies of great bright light

Some run others hide
All will come to pass
In the first age
or in the last

Autumn leaves must fall
Dancing to their death

bright

left eye
pain
right eye
deny

forgetting
remembering
silence

sleep
white light
violence

all turns to ashes
and returns
from whence it came

Randy Thurman says, "Specific arrangements of geometric shapes, lines and dots of certain colors, facilitate the Art of Conspiration, an intimate connection between the artwork and the viewer. My aim is to elicit an effect on the viewer's conscious as well as sub-conscious mind; for the person to lose part of their self in viewing, while gaining something new through this life altering exchange as the painting becomes a part of that person."
