Don't do urine therapy if you are on meds, or do a lot of recreational drugs, or are too out of whack on your PH scale, or eat junk food, smoke tobacco, or otherwise pollute yourself. Try to get off unnatural substances, and eat healthy herbs and foods, then take 1/2 teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate, or something else of your choice, during the day on an empty stomach until your urine become alkaline, and then you are ready.
Drink 5 drops of the first morning urine on the first day, after you let the first bit pass by, holding it under the tongue and letting it absorb through the lining of your cheeks, adding 5 or 10 drops the next day. Drink 10 drops in the morning on day three as well as that night. Keep adding as much as you your body feels comfortable with it, even a cup at a time, drinking cupfuls a day.
If you drink until you can't taste it any more, that is thought to be the ideal dose. I found when first using it years ago that if I used only one drop, when the urine was very warm only, held my nose, then washed my mouth out, which is actually not a good idea once you are used to using it, I could break the emotional barrier. Each time I drank it, I found it easier, and soon had zero problem at all, and in fact, find it pleasantly salty, without any bad taste at all, though after eating asparagus, I'll forgo, thank you.
You can also use drops in your eyes and ears, nose, throat, and as an enema or douche. On the skin, it becomes a beautifyer, though you may want to wash it off before a first date if it's very strong smelling. The more you stay hydrated, eat healthy food, and do the urine therapy itself, the less it has a scent, however, and can easily go unnoticed most of the time, unless you do go by the ultimate recommendation for skin use, which is to use urine that is a week or so old. It is absorbed more easily if applied topically than drunk, as it by passes the digestive juices.
Dr. John Armstrong, in his book The Water of Life, describes how much better people heal using urine therapy when also doing the urine massage, and how important it can be for serious diseases. Though I have no problem with using fresh urine, I haven't been able to bring myself to use old urine, personally, so I can't say, on that one. But I did know a man who did that, and drank it as well, and he did have a noticeable smell wafting by, when he passed along, blissfully smiling, eyes euphorically open, and talking about how wonderful urine therapy made him feel. I wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing.
Urea helps the skin bond to water, bringing hydration into its deeper layers, and thus helps the appearance and health, when applied topically. It also helps skin problems, such as eczema, fungal and yeast infections, acne, and psoriasis. It heals wounds.
You may notice cleansing reactions, as with any useful cleanse, from diarrhea, to rash, tiredness, and even fever. Don't use it if you have a urinary infection, or if pregnant or nursing a baby.
So, obviously, go to the doctor or naturopath when you need to, but consider taking your own urine, which is right there when you need it, for free, specially made for your own needs, the next time you get a sniffle, burn yourself on the stove, want your skin to look glowing and smooth, feel yourself gaining a little weight or water weight, or want to heal yourself of problems the medical world has not been helpful for, maybe after years of expense and frustration, and you may find yourself feeling younger, more energetic and vital, relaxed, and with a sense of control over your own health.
The first writings known to be about urine therapy were in the Indian book called Damar Tantra. Though this is just a beginning of what's out there, see these links and books, from which this article is drawn if you have any questions:
