Love and War
When we are not fighting, when we are not watching the dead swing, or listening to Captain H. sing dirty songs or picturing women's parts we play cards. It was General P.'s idea. We lose all the time. Captain H. wins all the time. In a box securely locked Captain H. keeps his winnings. "After the war I am going to buy a motorcar, you can't pick up ladies without a car." Captain H. brews coffee. Captain H. knows the dirtiest songs. At night he tells us about parts of women that we have never seen or heard of. Captain H. knows all about women. "Remember to stroke the inner thigh," whispers Captain H., with his eyes closed, "remember to tickle the nipple."
