Her works include the novels Scarabocchio, Poetry and Fear (from which these voices are excerpted), Music for Glass Orchestra (Serpent's Tail), Give My Heart Ease (New American Writing Award) and the chapbook Elysian Sonnets. Beautuful poems, and fascinating material. Got me on both counts. And I love the way you read them. Poetry should be read anyway, it's more related to music than to language per se. But I'm a musician (baroque, on recorders), so I would say that.
