How Do Detectives Make Love? is a book of poetry by Coral Hull. Poems in this collection both stand alone and work collectively to create an open-ended dramatic sequence. Addressing the topical issues of domestic violence, gender relations, sexuality, animal liberation and criminality within the ranks of law enforcement, Hull traces the complexity of the conflicts between innocence and corruption. In this fiercely autobiographical work, Hull dramatises herself as victim, scribe and player in a seductive cycle of nihilism. Raw, gutsy and moving, this is a portrayal of the human cost of violence and power abuse.
How Do Detectives Make Love? is $AU22, and is can be purchased through Penguin Books Australia.
Broken Land, a book of poems by Coral Hull, was the winner of The Victorian Premier's Prize for poetry in 1998 - CJ Dennis Award. Bev Roberts had this to say about it:
...'Slaughterhouses? You write poems about funny things,' Hull was told in one such place...Coral Hull writes confrontingly and uncompromisingly about the terrible sights, smells and sounds of these killing places. She makes the final scream of a goat audible and unforgettable, an image of anguish and inhumanity.
Broken Land is $AU12.95 and can be ordered from Five Islands Press.
The Wild Life is a 456-page collection of poetry by Coral Hull, David Curzon, Philip Hammial and Stephen Oliver. Peter Goldsworthy commented on Coral Hull's contributions:

The Wild Life is $AU22 and can be purchased from Penguin Books Australia.
