Transit is a smaller chapbook, but the author's personal favorite. It features poems from the turn of the millennium into 2000, and Joseph's departure from New York. His most autobiographical work. A Laughter, Interrupted is Joseph's darkest work. It's poems from his first few months in Maine. His move from Augusta to Portland, his struggle to return to New York, and his fight for focus.
