Endangering my dignity
Diminished by your
immediate arm exit
Life-preserver seige
of the steering wheel
Automobile turned Titanic
when my query is quelled
Relief flooded rejection
Fear of success stronger
than fear of failure
Until you call
a month later
Now I'm the one
drowning
