Drop Any Coin and I Will Tell You More
Sparklers sizzled high above our throats
Smoke floated easily to the top of sacred mountain.
Rumors of infected babies and mothers,
governed by a horned beast who smirked
in front of cameras-He wanted another
tall glass of oil to fuel his limo, but was content
to master etiquette with his Homer Simpson buddies
for a few passing diamonds.
An American flag was stationed on top of his podium,
but no one could tell if it was real.
A brainwashed talisman sank to her knees.
Throwing up over sea urchins. An unfamiliar mist
had waffled up to her pores.
No one paid attention.
The new president was busy declaring war.
