The Enigma of Grace

Where are you?
I truly wish you
were here, but the
more I seek you,
the farther away
you retreat.

Clearly we all need
an explanation, for
no other balm can
truly assuage. And
so I admire all those
who have found you

out. I see I need to
first find grace, yet
grace is the grail who
does not appear to
those who seek it in
such a clever manner.

The more I think, 
the more ungraceful 
become my thoughts . . . 
still I just can't bring 
myself to let go, for
I have no faith.
