I hope it will be quiet tonight

Raining.  
A Nor'easter if this were snow.
The rain sheets down dark.
The houses have white window trim against the brownish pink patches.
There is a little shed in the white woman's yard.  
Chickens.
Odd patches of trees.  
One tree is a magnolia but it is a dull brown gray now.
A boarded over window.  
The branches of a hemlock are whipped by the wind.
Grass.
Water.
Gray.
