and other old jokes

The one tells me:
	A person’s appearance says certain 
        things about them. It reflects a
	person’s personality, their outlook
	on life, their desires, goals, and
	experiences.
The other tells me:
	Don’t these assholes ever get tired of being pretty on the outside?

All of which is very well
but I am tired of being pretty at all
I stick to rebellion
that most fashionable of traits
lain against beauty,
youth,
and the dull morning hours

In the perfect light of joy
I seek the invisible
