Daphne is a tree
with breasts 
          according to Ovid-
an object when touched.
Flowers 
are picked because
they are sex organs-
          given to melt away hearts.
Picture
keep memories on
paper with a thousand colors-
          popular aesthetics are black and white.
Dolls in leather bodices
remind us
about hormonal proclivity-
          an object is never really kissed.
I 
am not Apollo,
a gardener, or photographer-
          just a man who longs for Daphne.
