Tactile in Technicolor

they were containers of clear plastic 
truncated cubes with 1 side mitered 
not unlike the old bakery cookie jars 
somewhat smaller in size 
presumably for the storage of food 
with bright primary-colored plastic lids 

there was something about the angularity of them 
the crispness of the edges 
and I thought 
on some level 
if I had thought about them enough 
if I had concentrated hard enough 
I might have awakened 
with 1 container in my hand
