That is because here they are, his teeth

in a flurry of words, important
to the air
the trembling molecules
disturbed
widening concentrically, a timpani
vibrating the tiny coiled cochlea
which hum on the wrong side
of the cup of an ear
scorn is a gateway drug
behind the molars’ weighty gleam.
