The poetry of Don Winter is a study in suffering, approaching it indirectly. Telling stories of whores, dancers, and slummy bars, Don reveals the suffering of these women, and the pain of the men motivated to hire them. The result is a slow drop into depression, and a better understanding of the pain seperating the sexes.
