Light hits my heart
and the slope of snow like a smile.
The snow becomes this:
A woman and her new baby
wrapped in snow cloth
nestled sleeping in the lower lip hammock
of a small curved branch.
The long haired woman's grace, stroking her child
left to temporarily become a monster of snow
but she is back to caress
her small child under a snow blanket.
In the slope of a tiny branch
she does the work of the world.
