Accept the Inevitable

Don't yearn in your heart for impossible things,
It only will cause you more strife,
For even the solace a summer rain brings
Can't bring a plucked flower back to life.

Then learn to enjoy the things that can be done,
Fret not over what cannot be;
No power can alter the course of the sun
Or the ebb and flow of the sea.
