Outside the hum
Of two crickets
Above the rest

A couple dances
Between grass blades

They learned somewhere
That things can be learned
From dreams

Campfire burning smoke
Rising slower but
Ending higher

Somewhere a boy
Just as proud
To be older then
What he chews on

On a hill
Above the moon
A woman looks down
At them
Nostrils as long as corridors

All the neighbors seal
Their windows
Away their children
And porches light space
Around the earth

Nearer to god
An airplane I mistake
For a star
Sees what appear
To be fireflies.
