Coming to Stay

could I bring my family with me?
could I join you in Paradise with my son and wife?
give me a sign

is there room enough for another three?
I doubt we'll all be arriving at the same time
and there's no guarantee they'll want to join me

there's probably a revision or re-evaluation 
test by fire, as we go into the hereafter
it could change me too

I'm being changed now
thinking about you and thinking about how
I shouldn't be thinking at all

pumped up
I thought I heard a crowd of me
yak, yak

listen carefully
I never had much to say 
any time I saw you, stared at you

now I can't shut up

prepare for me 
or let me off the hook
I'm running out of time and I like to plan ahead
