Earth - Woman

Snow drifts

You come across in a trance

Blindfolded to your own heavenly blessings.

There's chatter on the wings of night

Heat haze

Eerie in silence.

Echoes of bird flights

Meteors and razed settlements

Where water used to be.

Ravenous appetites on crushed boulders

In depths, immersed hues

Some oceans

Topaz in bloodied hands.

The one who births

Seeks

Safe havens!

Earth. Earth. Refuge.

       Hearth.

Torn asunder,

   Strands of hair

     Gripped and pulled

Large tracts now

Barren.

Fruits and young:

       Lost waste lands

Scouring drops of mercy.

Heat haze

      You arrive,

You take it in,

Blindfolded to your own eternal blessings...
