ICYMI, Part XI: an interview with e-low the artist
"So I was in this hyper masculine world where I truly felt this is not something we do, we don't admit we're vulnerable, we don't admit we're struggling, we don't even put ice on when we're sore. So that definitely influenced a lot of the way I thought about navigating my mental health and whether I'd ever be outspoken about what I went through."

On 6/7/26 I woke up feeling worse; I’d left my 1 hour shift the day before without making the weekly deposit, the only reason I was scheduled, because I kept the safe code in my Samsung Notes app, and didn’t back it up to my Google profile. When I contacted HR to seek assistance with the matter as surely they would have this information, I was promptly informed that we didn’t need a locksmith to fix the safe. Kennedy was the gatekeeper, the code master.
“Kennedy will be back next week.”
I wasn't sore about that, I was more concerned with symptoms that resembled covid and took a test that morning impaired by double vision in the bathroom.
The Google Pixel 10 is a sensitive bitch- for instance the slightest mishandling can take random screenshots and I guess this happened as far-fetched as it sounds, after I had searched for: positive test to compare the strip results. I couldn’t make sense of the tiny script on the instructions without reading glasses and I tend to keep all the lights off, unless necessary, to conserve energy. I'm starting to suspect I have little to no understanding of what is deemed necessary in modern society…
I contacted HR before my commute to work.

I’d been up all night talking with Brynn, even consulting over speaker with 2 of her kids about matters of mental health which in retrospect I feel guilty for as I am no paragon of stability. It wasn’t so much a surprise but a self-manifested reality when HR abruptly fired me over text, inferring they could easily find the JPG online and I was just manipulating empathy for my ongoing situation. I live in an at-will state and I made a critical oversight: as previously mentioned; I’d had my suspicions the curtain call was imminent and made no escape plans beforehand. The petit mal seizure one week prior did not feel like a coincidental factor in their decision…
Maybe I speak of corruption from the framework of an embittered soul, maybe I’m full of shit and maybe I’m just a slave to experience-the fortitude necessary to challenge corporate interest, vanity, greed, intentional oversight and discrimination.
I checked out reading posts online about Colorado’s Attorney General that contained webcam footage of his attendance at the AGA (Attorney General Association) conference, recently held in Hawaii; where corporate bigwigs for companies like Google, Juul, Facebook and Pfizer are listed as sponsors. It was suggested that the more money these companies gave for the festivities, the more access they were granted to lawmakers across the country, which is an absurd notion of course…
Cryptocurrency conferences. Phil Wiser riding the edges of a sailboat with no one there to steer him on an ethical trajectory; land ho and head to the front of the line pocket man.
It’s no less an eye of the storm scenario: sails set, dark clouds, waves and the satiating smell of someone else’s full plate from the windowsill of an abandoned building.
Maybe I’m just suffering from maladaptive daydreaming and I’m still unemployed, but how do you explain the appearance of a Peacock Mantis Shrimp, the .22 caliber punch that wakes me up before I’m swallowed whole and left with 7 spectrum visions, an attention span of 360°.
