Mother Columbia

Mother Columbia, did you know?
America, your daughterland, has your brutality.
It’s as plain as red in snow.

The people, the parties, ever seek ammo,
their bodies bursting with carnality.
Mother Columbia, did you know?

Your daughterland, my motherland, stands aglow,
A beacon of a people stripped of vitality.
It’s as plain as red in snow.

There is no aloe
to soothe this violent banality.
Mother Columbia, did you know?

The rich stay in their chateaux,
comfortable whilst us little people rely on frugality.
It’s as plain as red in snow.

Your manifest destiny lives in the hearts of jingos.
They do not concern themselves with legality.
Mother Columbia, did you know?
It’s as plain as red in snow.
