It’s 7/1/26 and Mason Thrash removed paper thin shackles that have kept me 2 Years Afraid. I can see the inscription on my tombstone now:

Here lies Frankie Metro.
There will always, only be one.

I want people to read it, hear a soundscore from Fumio Hayasaka, and think that even in death, I’m that fucking awkward/arrogant. But in reality, I’ve known since birth that I will always only be one. I was born into this world alone and I leave the same direction.

I applied for an Assistant Manager position at Hooters in a mad dash across Indeed.com yesterday. CBS news sources reported that 92,000+ acres of Utah are on fire and they have declared an official state of emergency. The prospect that these brush fires are being started by multiple perpetrators is becoming more feasible and being a man who loves the idea of watching the world burn down around him, seeing it happen in real time is a different story. I’m face to face with what I once considered an expedited game plan for leaving this mortal coil, a solution to the problem that has become the human species and those were the days I could still taste the blood in my mouth, because it’s always there, it’s always been there; I’ve just learned to ignore it.

Sitting in the dark waiting for the fireworks display to cause more evacuation and consultations with outside resources, I’m trying to just take the W. I can’t help but ask myself, maybe in the voice of Larry David:

When a case is ‘sealed’ do they physically seal it, you know, take your file, put it in a kitchen-sized plastic bag with red sealant bands, press it together with 2 thumbs? Who’s in charge of sealing the bag? How do you get that job? Is there a 7 round interview process with judicial officials? You sit in front of a jury and give them your credentials for pressing ziplock bags as a child and how you’re so experienced at sealing things that need to stay hidden? How much-
