Unredeemed

They speak of love

With envious hearts, full of hate

And of kindness

When given to evil ways,

They speak of charity

Resenting the little they give

And of mercy

When merciless with those whose trust they have betrayed,

And they pray for forgiveness

For trespasses committed

Extravagant in their offerings

To the discerning Deity,

In vain, in vain,

When they should be seeking guidance

That they may be shown the Way

Of boundless love, unselfish and true

Mercy and kindness,

That their hearts be cleansed

By their own thoughts, words and deeds

And they shall shine forth again

With the intensity of Truth

As all their sufferings come to an end.
